Holidays can be therapeutic

Taking a break from therapy can raise guilty feelings for parents. However, we have decided to use our holiday time out of town, as a way for our 3.5 year old daughter to consolidate all the great things she is learning in therapy. In fact, being around family and friends who love her, and support all her efforts, has added to her self-confidence, and allowed her to spontaneously self-correct, without prompts. Seeing her this happy, is not only therapeutic for her, but for us as parents as well!
