Amazing Results

Hello, My son is almost 3 and he was diagnosed with Apraxia at age 2, after months of testing. His pediatrician kept delaying referral to a speech therapist, telling me "he's probably just a late talker". We found speech therapy on our own and he began at age 1, at that time he was saying NO WORDS. He didn't even say "mama" until he was almost 2.

After a year with therapists once a week, he was showing no improvement. We switched him to another therapy center, he began going 2 and 3 days a week, and soon moved up to 4 sessions a week with 2 wonderful therapists. (We really had to push to get him 4 sessions a week.)

We also worked with him at home, and I found some articles on the Web regarding Fish Oil and Omega 3,6 and 9 helping children with apraxia, dyslexia (which frequently goes along with the apraxia diagnosis) so I began the supplements at home. After researching and speaking with a Pediatric Pharmacist, I found a brand at CVS that has the highest amount of Omega 3, 6 and 9. It's the CVS brand of Fish oil, and I give my son 7-10 a day. They are gelcaps and I prick them with a sharp knife and squeeze the oil out, then suck it up in a syringe, or medicine dropper. He takes it with no problem, and I usually give him a treat afterward, a gummy candy or something for being such a "big boy" and taking his medicine. He doesn't seem to mind the taste, and we have seen AMAZING RESULTS!! He is now saying 5, 6 or more words together in a SENTENCE. I have to give credit to his speech therapists as well, I don't mean to take anything away from them. But after we began the Fish Oil, he began to say so many new words, and the words he could already say became much clearer than before. The pills are a little expensive, around $9 a bottle, and one bottle lasts him a week and a half, but I am so glad my little boy is able to express himself!

We also began using sign language with him, at age 1. We found a great series called Baby Signing Time, they are DVD's each about 45 minutes and he loves to watch them! They sing songs and my son and my whole family were able to quickly learn the much needed signs for eat, play, milk, juice, water, cracker, bread, cheese, apple, dog, fish etc. This really helped him to express himself before he was able to do so verbally. I loved your website and hope to try the LIFT at my home too!
